Part of the Bible Proficiency Exam involves identifying selected biblical passages by book and chapter. The texts are printed below in the NRSV translation. You may find it helpful to mark these passages in the Bible that you normally use. People who find it difficult to remember chapter numbers can often picture where a passage is located on the page of a Bible. Marking the passage is a valuable aid to memory.

NT Romans 6 Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? Therefore we have been buried with him by baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.
