Jesus raised Mary's brother Lazarus

This Mary sat at Jesus' feet, listening to his teaching, while her sister, Martha, was "distracted with much serving." Jesus praised Mary for her devotion to him. When her brother Lazarus died, Mary wept at Jesus' feet and Jesus also wept.  After Jesus raised Lazarus, Mary lavishly anointed Jesus' feet with ointment and dried them with her hair.
