Ephesians is one of the Pauline Epistles that is associated with the church at Ephesus. The first half of the book celebrates the lordship of Christ, which has broken down the wall that formerly divided Jews and gentiles (1-3). The last half of the book urges that readers renounce the ways of gentiles, that members of households be subject to one another, and that Christians put on the whole armor of God to withstand the wiles of the devil (4-6).
